Odesza- “Say My Name” (feat. Zyra)

This latest track from Seattle production duo Odesza is a bit of a departure from the work they’ve typically been known for. While this new song, “Say My Name,” does feature the chopped vocals and vibrant, sunny, melodic house/electronica style that has become their signature style; it takes a far more lyrical approach, adding a more traditional verse/chorus format sung by vocalist Zyra. It’s catchy and uplifting; a perfect end of the summer song that will surely earn them a wider fan base. Their new album, “In Return” drops on September 9. You can pre-order it here.

Odesza- “Memories That You Call” (feat. Monsoonsiren)

Odesza are known for their sun drenched, spacey, upbeat productions that feature bright, shiny chopped up vocals and hypnotically rhythmic bass. This new track, “Memories That You Call,” from their upcoming album In Return (due 9/9), definitely fits that description and does not disappoint. If you’re looking to get lost in an extended state of summery paradise, put this track on repeat for a little while and see what happens…

This is the REMIX 6

I meant to post this at the end of June…but here it is now, my carefully curated monthly playlist of all the best remixes I’ve come across. As always, it’s super eclectic, with artists ranging from Drake and James Blake to Gorillaz and Daft Punk, then winding down with more chill stuff.

It’s just shy of 2 hours long and makes for a pretty fun, varied listening experience. Check it out here:

Pretty Lights and Odesza’s amazing contribution to the “Divergent” Soundtrack

Now I’m even more excited for this soundtrack and movie to come out. I’ve been OBSESSED with Odesza lately and this remix is just as spectacular as anything on their stellar album, “Summer’s Gone.” I guarantee you will love this track and all their other stuff as well. They are a staple for my yoga playlists and their music has been hugely popular in the Boston yoga community lately, which is so awesome.
