This is the REMIX 6

I meant to post this at the end of June…but here it is now, my carefully curated monthly playlist of all the best remixes I’ve come across. As always, it’s super eclectic, with artists ranging from Drake and James Blake to Gorillaz and Daft Punk, then winding down with more chill stuff.

It’s just shy of 2 hours long and makes for a pretty fun, varied listening experience. Check it out here:

Kleerup & Lykke Li- “Until We Bleed” (JacM Remix)

I was delighted to stumble upon a slightly more chilled out remix of one of my favorite electropop songs, Kleerup and Lykke Li’s “Until We Bleed,” which was originally released in 2009. JacM has given the track a softer, slower beat, which works quite well with Lykke Li’s vocals.

If you’re into chill electronic music with vocals or if you’ve been loving Lykke Li’s new album, you’ll want to check this one out for sure.

Lykke Li- “No Rest For The Wicked” (Joris Voorn Remix)

This might be the most upbeat Lykke Li remix I’ve ever heard. It’s got a pretty bouncy, clubby sound to it that’s definitely infectious and immediately accessible. I’ve never really felt like dancing to Lykke Li before, but this remix just might make me do it…

“No Rest For The Wicked” is blowing up right now. I’m thinking the exposure this song has gotten and all these remixes out there might catapult her to a new level of popularity.

Lykke Li- “No Rest For The Wicked” (Remix ft. A$AP Rocky)

Check out this new remix of Lykke Li’s “No Rest For The Wicked,” featuring an awesome verse from A$AP Rocky that comes in halfway through. I love what he rhymes Lykke Li with. You’ll see.

Lykke Li pairs really well with hip hop, and this remix just works on every level.

New from Lykke Li- “Gunshot” & a remix of “No Rest For The Wicked

Lykke Li just gave us another preview of her upcoming album today, and it’s making me even more excited for the release date (May 5). It’s a little more upbeat than the other two new songs she’s released, and it’s pretty intense lyrically. Listen to “Gunshot” on this website as you read the lyrics. (just wait a second for it to start playing once you click on the link…)

Also, check out this upbeat remix of another one of her new songs, “No Rest For The Wicked.”

Lykke Li releases new song, makes acting debut

Even though Lykke Li sings this song in her native language, Swedish, there is something so compelling and moving about how she delivers these lyrics. I need to look them up and find an Englidh translation. Her voice sounds stronger and more stunning than ever. I’m eagerly awaiting the release of her new album this May, which is said to be the final chapter in a trilogy that began with 2008’s “Youth Novels.”
