I meant to post this at the end of June…but here it is now, my carefully curated monthly playlist of all the best remixes I’ve come across. As always, it’s super eclectic, with artists ranging from Drake and James Blake to Gorillaz and Daft Punk, then winding down with more chill stuff.

It’s just shy of 2 hours long and makes for a pretty fun, varied listening experience. Check it out here:

Little Dragon- “Klapp Klapp” (Nosaj Thing Remix ft. Future)

Nosaj Thing has put his own spin on “Klapp Klapp,” a standout track from Little Dragon’s latest album “Nabuma Rubberband.” The changes he made to the original track are subtle, and I feel like often times small tweaks and additions make for the most successful remixes. He made the beat a bit faster and more dynamic and added a little bit of rapping by Future, which is definitely the most interesting feature of this remix. Little Dragon certainly pairs well with a little hip hop…

Little Dragon- “Twice” (Go Yama remix)

It’s always a good sign when I listen to a remix five or six times in a row, and i did just that with this latest piece of work by Go Yama. He is one of the most clever, innovative producers out there, and I’ve been obsessed with his remixes since hearing the stunning Sufjan Stevens flip he put out a couple months ago.

The unique arrangement of chill beats and interesting time signatures in this remix of Little Dragon’s “Twice” transports me to some otherworldly place that I don’t mind staying in as I have the song on repeat.
