I’m so happy I was in a whimsical mood today and decided to listen to this “electro-folk” track by Canadian artist Andrew Judah. First of all, I am biased toward all things Canadian, and second, it definitely satisfies my craving for more interesting/offbeat indie-folk a-la Sufjan Stevens. Of course I thought of Sufjan immediately when I was captivated by Judah’s prominent use of the banjo on this track. He also brings in a multitude of other sounds and instruments, not unlike what Sufjan typically does in much of his work.
Fans of Andrew Bird or Beirut will also probably dig this.
